About the Role

US Foods is seeking a Non CDL Driver to join their team. This delivery position is responsible for driving a company vehicle and delivering foodservice products to customers with a high level of service. The role emphasizes continuous growth and development within the company.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload the vehicle for multi-stop deliveries.
• Transport deliveries by driving assigned vehicles.
• Use hand truck to move product from the delivery vehicle into the customer location.
• Accurately record delivery information using a hand scanner and company documentation.
• Manage the proper documentation and disposition of any return product.
• Communicate delivery and customer issues to the appropriate authority.
• Deliver product to designated stops following the daily sequence.
• Unload product safely and stage it in customer-designated areas.
• Check invoices for complete delivery and process paperwork and damaged merchandise.
• Collect payments when necessary.
• Monitor refrigeration system on the delivery vehicle for safety and follow safe food handling procedures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis.
• Perform climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive motions.
• Work in extreme weather conditions.

Requirements

• DOT Medical Card Required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required.
• No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations.
• No DUI convictions in the past three years.
• No driver’s license suspensions in the past three years.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations.
• Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Use safe lifting and loading techniques.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical.

Skills

• Great interpersonal/customer service skills.
• Hand cart delivery experience preferred.
• Basic math skills.

Experience Level

• No commercial or professional driving experience required.
• One year of multi-stop delivery experience is preferred or six months local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience.

Education Level

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Salary/Compensations

• $25.31 per hour
• $25.31/hr to $27.17/hr

• The Non CDL Driver is a delivery position responsible for driving a company vehicle limited to a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 14,900.
