About the Role

Index Exchange is seeking a detail-oriented Senior AP Accountant/Clerk to join our accounting operations team. This role is responsible for accurate, timely processing of accounts payable transactions, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Coupa and Expensify, and takes pride in accuracy and process discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding, approvals, and timely payment
  • Process funding of international subsidiaries to meet operating expense requirements
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Review and process employee expense reports submitted through Expensify
  • Perform monthly AP sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliations
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding items or discrepancies
  • Reconcile corporate card and expense report activity (Expensify) to the GL
  • Identify, research, and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
  • Serve as a power user of Coupa for invoice processing, PO management, and workflow routing
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and GL coding within Coupa
  • Support Expensify administration, including policy compliance and reporting
  • Assist with month-end close deliverables tied to AP and expense activity

Requirements

  • 3+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience with Coupa (required)
  • Hands-on experience with Expensify (required)
  • Strong reconciliation skills with high attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with vendors and internal teams
