About the Role
Index Exchange is seeking a detail-oriented Senior AP Accountant/Clerk to join our accounting operations team. This role is responsible for accurate, timely processing of accounts payable transactions, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Coupa and Expensify, and takes pride in accuracy and process discipline.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding, approvals, and timely payment
- Process funding of international subsidiaries to meet operating expense requirements
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Review and process employee expense reports submitted through Expensify
- Perform monthly AP sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliations
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding items or discrepancies
- Reconcile corporate card and expense report activity (Expensify) to the GL
- Identify, research, and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
- Serve as a power user of Coupa for invoice processing, PO management, and workflow routing
- Maintain accurate vendor records and GL coding within Coupa
- Support Expensify administration, including policy compliance and reporting
- Assist with month-end close deliverables tied to AP and expense activity
Requirements
- 3+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with Coupa (required)
- Hands-on experience with Expensify (required)
- Strong reconciliation skills with high attention to detail
- Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with vendors and internal teams
