About the Role
As an Event Marketing Manager at Brex, you will support a portfolio of B2B events targeting founders, finance leaders, and operators. You will report to the Head of Events on the Corporate Events team and collaborate daily with sales, field marketing, and brand design. This role involves delivering industry and hosted events from brief through post-event reporting, with input on portfolio strategy and team operations. The work encompasses strategy, operations, experience design, and coordination with sales for pre- and post-event activities.
Responsibilities
- Own event presence from brief through post-event reporting, including vendor management, design partnership, registration, onsite execution, and sales follow-up.
- Execute event sponsorships end-to-end, managing vendor and venue coordination, logistics, onsite management, and post-event reporting.
- Coordinate with sales on pre- and post-event outreach to ensure lead follow-through and maximize pipeline impact.
- Partner with design and brand marketing on event activations, merchandise, and graphics.
- Manage vendor contracts and event budgets, including reconciliation and variance flagging.
- Collaborate with sales and field marketing teams to develop aligned booth experiences and promotional materials.
- Own lead generation and pipeline targets, understanding event performance's connection to broader marketing and sales goals.
- Improve repeatable tradeshow processes, documentation, and workflows for scalability.
- Evaluate and recommend new event opportunities based on audience fit and pipeline potential.
- Travel up to 50% to manage onsite event components and support team events as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in event marketing or field marketing with hands-on tradeshow and conference execution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage events end-to-end, including logistics, vendors, onsite execution, and post-event follow-through.
- Strong project management skills and a structured planning approach; experience with project management tools is a plus.
- Proven cross-functional collaboration, clean handoffs, and proactive communication at all levels.
- Understanding of how events connect to business goals and how to define success.
- Team-oriented yet self-directed, with the ability to collaborate closely, communicate openly, and own workstreams independently.
- Comfortable using AI tools for planning, communications, and workflow streamlining.
- Proficiency with G Suite; familiarity with Monday.com, Salesforce, Marketo, or Nooks is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% for onsite event setup, supervision, and management.
- A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
