About the Role

You'll own the design system at Ambrook, from the components down to the frontend infrastructure. You are an engineer first, writing clean, fast TypeScript and React, caring about the architecture and how components look. You treat coding agents as part of your workflow. This role sits at the intersection of the design system and the product used by ranchers and farmers daily, ensuring both remain healthy as the company grows. We value your engineering judgment, craft, and willingness to innovate.

Responsibilities

Build and evolve the component library, interaction patterns, and design tokens as production frontend infrastructure across web and mobile.
Drive system adoption into the product by landing breaking changes, deprecating old patterns, and facilitating team-wide adoption.
Own frontend performance, including bundle size, render performance, and accessibility, and implement tooling and guardrails to prevent regressions.
Write codemods, migration scripts, and agent workflows to accelerate team adoption of the system without sacrificing quality.

Requirements

Deep frontend engineering expertise with clean, performant TypeScript and React.
Solid grasp of data structures, async programming, and modern build/tooling workflows.
Experience owning a production design system or shared component library, including versioning, breaking changes, and large-scale migrations.
Ability to profile slow renders, reduce bundle sizes, and implement guardrails for performance and accessibility.
Proficiency in using coding agents for migrations and adoption in large codebases.
Strong design instincts to identify UI issues and maintain high standards.
Curiosity and empathy for the agricultural domain.
Demonstrated engineering skills and craft through past work (shipped systems, tooling, open source, or portfolio).
