About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to the Securities Lending Trading Desk, responsible for execution and revenue optimization through lending and borrowing of securities.
  • Manage daily recalls and buy-ins, coordinate returns for efficient and accurate matching.
  • Oversee collateral optimization, substitutions, and exposure management.
  • Handle rate changes, contract compare, and rolling of term deals/evergreens.
  • Serve as a liaison between Front Office and Back Office Operations to troubleshoot issues and provide internal reporting.
  • Proactively analyze and recommend enhancements to existing business processes.
  • Communicate rationale and negotiate solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in relevant industry roles with a strong understanding of capital markets and securities lending.
  • Previous experience in Mid Office or Back Office support roles within securities lending is an asset.
  • Ability to respond to client inquiries and requests, providing professional, high-quality customer service.
  • Frequent professional engagement with clients, traders, regulators, senior leaders, and other support staff.
  • Ability to liaise and manage both internal and external relationships.
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems.
  • Ability to identify and document specific problems and alternative resolutions.
  • Knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements.
  • Ability to seek efficiencies in operational functions.
  • Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs.
  • Ability to communicate well downward, upward, and outward.
  • Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s) and possess a valid work or study permit where applicable.
  • Willingness to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests.
