About the Role
The Marketing Services Coordinator performs daily tasks for the Marketing Services and Communications Departments, including special events coordination, reservation management, and assisting with room blocks. This role ensures efficient and professional communication and supports departmental operations within company guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Performs daily tasks for the Marketing Services and Communications Departments.
- Coordinates off-property reservations.
- Sets up convention and Tour groups in LMS.
- Assists with room block management.
- Reviews reservations for accuracy, including iHotelier and internet reservations.
- Processes Player development, Executive, and Board reservations.
- Prepares and executes Entertainment Will Call.
- Answers and processes calls efficiently and professionally.
- Assists Marketing Services Shift Managers in day-to-day duties.
- Completes reports, monitors online reservation bookings, prepares Will Call, tracks travel agent commissions, and manages off-property rooms.
- Manages input of Group Sales reservations and room block maintenance.
- Ensures effective communication of company and job-related information.
- Conducts and assists in training and orientation of new and existing Representatives.
- Reviews reservations to ensure they meet player rating system requirements and reports exceptions.
- Assists Representatives in determining qualifications for complimentary services.
- Answers incoming telephone calls, directs calls, and provides requested information.
- Communicates and coordinates with related areas for effective operations.
- Compiles and distributes accurate information concerning events/offers/shows.
- Promotes positive public relations.
- Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free, and harassment-free work environment.
- Cooperates with the Seneca Gaming Authority to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
- Maintains a current understanding of information security policies and procedures.
- Provides exceptional customer service and communicates professionally.
- Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
- Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Completes all required SGC Training programs within nine months of employment.
- Attends all necessary meetings.
- Supports staff in the short-term absence of the Marketing Services Shift Manager.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum of six months experience as a Marketing Services Representative.
- Experience with ACSC, LMS, or Q-Master phone system.
- Scheduling flexibility and dependability required.
- Excellent quantifiable customer service skills and dependability required.
- Ability to operate a personal computer.
- Must be able to work in an intense and fast-paced environment requiring a high degree of concentration.
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to write and speak routine correspondence.
- Excellent knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
- Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
- Must have excellent aural abilities.
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment.
- Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
