About the Role

Schumacher & Co. is seeking an HR Coordinator to manage various HR functions including business vehicle administration, new hire processing, compliance, and documentation. This role is crucial for supporting employees throughout their lifecycle and ensuring smooth HR operations within Schumacher North America.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the business vehicle and mileage usage program (MOTUS), including processing approvals and conducting motor vehicle record checks.
  • Refer employees to a driver safety course when required and manage vehicle and fleet system updates for new hires and terminations.
  • Process new hire and employee lifecycle updates, including sending driver safety policies and managing system changes for address updates and terminations.
  • Gather exit details from managers and coordinate with offboarding for company separations, conducting exit interviews as needed.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation cases from intake to resolution, escalating complex claims.
  • Maintain and post current labor law posters across all required locations.
  • Process Verification of Employment (VOE) requests for current and former employees.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions.
  • Support monthly commission reporting by confirming figures with finance/payroll and distributing individual reports.

Requirements

  • Process approvals within the vehicle reimbursement/mileage platform.
  • Conduct motor vehicle record (MVR) checks.
  • Refer employees to a driver safety course when required.
  • Add new employees to vehicle and fleet management systems.
  • Process employee terminations within vehicle and fleet management systems.
  • Send new employees the driver safety policy for signature.
  • Process Business vehicle/system updates: new employee setup, terminations, address changes.
  • Gather exit details from managers and route to offboarding for company separations.
  • Conduct exit interviews as needed.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation cases from intake through resolution, escalating complex claims to HR Manager.
  • Maintain and post current labor law posters across all required locations.
  • Process Verification of Employment (VOE) requests for current and former employees.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions.
  • Support the monthly commission reporting process by confirming figures with the finance/payroll partner and distributing individual reports.
