About the Role
This role supports CannonDesign's firmwide ethics and integrity program, handling daily activities such as responding to inquiries, documenting processes, assisting with due diligence, and maintaining program resources. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong judgment and communication skills to guide colleagues on ethics and compliance matters.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted resource for ethics and integrity questions, supporting colleagues.
- Review and triage inquiries related to conflicts of interest, gifts, non-public information, public-sector engagements, RFP/RFQ considerations, and vendor relationships.
- Support the intake, documentation, tracking, and resolution of ethics and compliance matters confidentially.
- Conduct research and due diligence using public and internal resources for risk assessments and decision-making.
- Assist with the development and delivery of ethics and compliance training, communications, and awareness campaigns.
- Maintain accurate records, dashboards, and trackers to support program operations and reporting.
- Partner with internal teams (Legal, People, Finance, Operations) to embed ethics and integrity into business processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve program workflows, tools, and communication practices.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Compliance, Ethics or a related field preferred.
- Professional certification such as CCEP, CCEP-I, or related credential is a plus but not required.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience in ethics and compliance, legal operations, risk management, investigations, governance or a related professional environment required.
- Experience supporting ethics, compliance, legal or risk-related programs in a professional services, architecture/engineering, consulting, government contracting or similarly complex environment preferred.
- Strong research, analytical and documentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment when working with confidential or sensitive information.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to build trust and work effectively across teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to learn and use case management, reporting or workflow tools.
