About the Role
As a Product Engineer at Elevate Semiconductor, you will own the test hardware, equipment, and programs that support our high performance analog and mixed signal IC production. You will ensure quality, reliability, and efficiency by maintaining test systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving continuous improvement across production operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges in a collaborative, team-first environment. Flexibility to support both Product Engineering and Applications Engineering, along with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines, is expected.
Responsibilities
- Own the product data sheet, bench test plan, bench validation, and characterization scripts for 10-bit, 16-bit, and 20-bit Digital-to-Analog Converters.
- Perform debugging of printed circuit boards to identify and resolve component failures.
- Develop and update documentation for test results, data analysis, and hardware enhancements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of daily activities.
- Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to implement improvements in EVM hardware and firmware.
- Support initiatives related to correlation, gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R), and test time reduction.
- Drive continuous improvements in test efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Applications team to support customer-facing activities and product deployment.
- Analyze ATE or bench results in stdf or .csv format.
Requirements
- Demonstrated familiarity with Gaussian distribution plots and analytical tools such as ANOVA or regression analysis.
- Experience with LTspice and TINA for electrical circuit simulation.
- Familiarity with ultra-low current measurements, including leakage currents in the nanoampere (nA) range.
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in a comparable role.
- Interest in product testing, automated test equipment (ATE), or hardware test development.
- Proficient in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and soldering tools for debugging purposes.
- Demonstrated analytical mindset with strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Adaptable in dynamic team environments with frequently changing requirements.
- Willing to learn on a day-to-day basis and collaborate in a team environment.
- Willing to go the extra mile during silicon validation when new silicon arrives.
- Ability to work late evenings and weekends as needed during the arrival of new silicon.
- Willing to learn hardware design, component placement, board layout, PCB simulation, through-hole vias, and electrical verification of layout files using Altium.
- Familiarity with Fourier Analysis and Sampling theorem with regards to digital analog converters.
