About the Role

Alamos Gold is seeking a recent geology graduate to join our corporate exploration team in our Toronto Office. This role offers mentoring for a BSc or MSc geology graduate to assist the exploration team with GIS compilation of exploration data using ArcPro and database programs.

Responsibilities

  • Working in a collaborative team environment to track and compile geological data
  • Spatial data compilation and validation using ArcPro, Leapfrog and other software as required
  • Data collection and document searches through government portals
  • Document organization, scanning, archiving, and file control
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Earth Science (Geology)
  • Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) registration or the ability to register
  • Knowledge of mineral exploration workflows (sampling and geological mapping, core logging, data compilation)
  • Basic knowledge of the mineral claims system in Ontario
  • Proficiency with ArcPro or QGIS
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong research and analytical skills, problem solving, troubleshooting
  • Effective communication and organization skills
