About the Role
As a Fence Helper at National Construction Rentals, Inc. (NCR), you will assist the Fence Foreman in the installation and maintenance of fences, ensuring adherence to company standards and customer satisfaction. You will represent NCR professionally, follow safety protocols, and contribute to a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections and testing of vehicles and equipment.
- Load trucks with necessary equipment and materials.
- Attend job sites with Foreman and meet with customers.
- Install fence poles, erect fences, and tension wire.
- Clean job sites thoroughly and remove debris.
- Store equipment properly on the truck.
- Clean and maintain trucks, restocking materials.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
- Participate in all required safety meetings.
Requirements
- Proficiency in following detailed instructions.
- Ability to make occasional independent decisions.
- Capability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operational manuals, and maintenance instructions.
- Competence in performing mathematical calculations.
- Application of common-sense reasoning to execute detailed instructions.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a Motor Vehicle Record within company guidelines.
- For positions requiring driving vehicles over 10,000 lbs. GVWR, must be at least 21 years old and possess a DOT medical card.
- Work involves exposure to loud machines, vehicles, and building construction noise.
- Requires frequent holding, pulling or pushing up to 100 lbs.
- Working outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
- Long periods of driving and walking.
- Occasional standing, reaching with hands and arms, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking and hearing/listening.
