About the Role

This role is critical to the firm's success, supporting the Business Finance team in driving strategy, profitability, cash flow, and growth by safeguarding financial integrity and mitigating risks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the firm's billing process, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of client invoices.
  • Review time entries for proper coding, billing rates, and compliance with e-billing guidelines.
  • Prepare, review, and process client invoices, including narrative descriptions and adjustments.
  • Understand client billing and collection processes to facilitate payment with minimal queries and delays.
  • Track billing attorney completion and unbilled inventory (WIP).
  • Monitor proforma status, identify issues, and collaborate with billing attorneys on resolutions.
  • Provide support and assistance to the Billing Team.
  • Respond accurately and timely to billing-related inquiries from attorneys, collection teams, and management.
  • Prepare and review billing analysis and research with a high standard of accuracy.
  • Assist overseas offices with revenue tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in legal billing preferred.
  • Knowledge of Expert Aderant and various E-Billing platforms preferred.
  • Competent IT skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to suggest new ideas constructively and sensitively.
  • Ability to work in a team environment that is constantly changing.
