About the Role

Humber River Health is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join their Allied Health team. This role focuses on providing evaluation, treatment, and education to assist patients in their daily living activities and recovery, impacting their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Providing Occupational Therapy services to Medicine and Surgery program patients in acute and post-acute care settings.
• Providing appropriate assessment and treatment for referred patients.
• Recording patient assessment, progress, and discharge status.
• Providing discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members, including applications to other resources.
• Recording workload measurement data.
• Working as a member of the healthcare team regarding services provided.
• Providing consultation to other disciplines in the area of physical medicine.
• Clinical supervision of Rehabilitation Assistants.
• Clinical supervision of students, including Occupational Therapist and/or OTA/PTA students.
• Travel and cross coverage to Wilson, Church, and Finch locations may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of tasks and work efficiently.
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to act as a valuable part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and resourcefulness.
• Excellent attendance and discipline-free record required.

Salary/Compensations

• $40.36 - $56.30 per hour
