Responsibilities

• Oversee the receiving, unpacking, and organizing of new stock for efficient placement on the sales floor.
• Manage the setup and maintenance of displays, ensuring accurate signage and proper promotion highlighting, following corporate guidelines for resets and seasonal updates.
• Manage the opening or closing of the store, including securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and ensuring daily operational readiness.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and addressing urgent issues.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates, ensuring effective performance and excellent customer service.
• Support the onboarding and ongoing training of associates on store policies, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Execute the market plan by arranging products and signage according to corporate guidelines, ensuring proper display and regular updates of promotional materials.
• Ensure the execution of the company's Inventory Integrity process.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• College experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Creative thinking
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure
• Frequently operate cash register
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and places/removes merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock
• Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop
• Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers and coworkers
• Frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers and moving between stock room and sales floor
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts and travel
• Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
• Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to perform all essential job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws
