About the Role
Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Release Train Engineer to lead large, complex Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in delivering software solutions. This role involves resolving impediments, managing risk, assuring value delivery, and driving continuous improvement. The Senior RTE acts as a crucial link between scrum teams, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment with company strategy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee release trains of strategic importance with complex scope and interdependencies.
- Facilitate ceremonies and work management for the Release Train Team and associated delivery teams.
- Coordinate release planning, including communication with stakeholders and customers.
- Manage the backlog and ALM tool data integrity for accurate reporting, including metrics and KPIs.
- Coordinate major feature releases and ongoing value delivery involving multiple teams or release trains.
- Resolve and report issues, managing dependencies and risks across ARTs and delivery teams.
- Leverage agile delivery metrics and ceremonies to drive continuous improvement and maximize organizational performance.
- Participate in the RTE and SM Community of Practice to maintain alignment and improve practices.
- Collaborate with the RTE and SM community to enhance cross-training and solution group coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of experience as a Release Train Engineer, or 5+ years as a Scrum Master or Agile Program Manager.
- Strong technical aptitude and experience leading teams in delivering quality software.
- Experience using ALM tools preferred; Rally or Target process experience is a plus.
- Must live in the metropolitan area of the job location.
- Position requires a minimum of 2 days per week in-office.
- Must clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana excluded for this position).
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
