About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to manage accounting and compliance processes for several entities within our fast-growing tech company. This role involves close collaboration with the CFO and external partners, ensuring accurate financial reporting, reviewing general ledger activity, and supporting statutory financial statement preparation. You will have the opportunity to assess complex transactions, provide accounting guidance, and improve processes in a dynamic international environment.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations for several group entities
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Support month-end and year-end closings and prepare relevant reports
Coordinate with external accounting providers, auditors, and tax advisors
Ensure timely and compliant statutory filings across different jurisdictions
Contribute to process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives
Support integration of newly acquired companies into the group’s financial processes

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in an international or group environment
Solid understanding of accounting principles (local GAAP / HGB)
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and hands-on mentality
Excellent communication skills in German and English (C1+)
Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving organization
Experience working with DATEV, including financial accounting, asset accounting, and tax-related processes
Strong MS Excel skills, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, lookups, and automation features
Solid understanding of relevant tax regulations, particularly in the areas of VAT and corporate tax
High affinity for digital accounting and process automation, ideally with experience in cloud-based finance tools or workflow optimization
