About the Role
The Commercial Planning Manager reports to the VP of Commercial Planning and plays a pivotal role in the management and execution of the national incentive calendar, commercialization of the innovation agenda, and annual planning. This role serves as the operational driver responsible for enabling the execution of national incentive programs, innovation items, and planning deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Maintains national incentive calendar once aligned
- Ensures deliverables are to a high standard and on time
- Enables creation of tracking
- Monitors progress versus goals and communicates to stakeholders
- Creates and maintains launch calendar timing for sales across the portfolio
- Proactively ensures all deliverables are on time and commercially appropriate
- Conducts state registrations and new item setup with distributors
- Organizes innovation launch calls and agendas at appropriate times
- Reviews all content for completion prior to calls
- Manages timelines across finance, sales, marketing, BI once established
- Proactively ensures adherence to deliverables, shepherding requirements across departments
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in Beverage Alcohol working directly with distributors in a sales or marketing capacity
- Experience across sales and marketing strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of Beverage Alcohol and three-tiered system
- Strong commercial acumen and experience with incentive development or execution
- Proficiency in MS Office and industry enterprise planning tools (e.g., Power BI, Cognos, SharePoint)
- Familiarity with syndicated data (e.g., Circana)
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Proactive approach to managing workload and keeping leadership informed
- Ability to make progress on multiple initiatives simultaneously and manage a wide swath of deliverables
- Implement strategies with precision and efficiency
