About the Role
Miller Transportation Group is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Technician for its Miller Truck Leasing division in Brewster, NY. This role involves performing maintenance and repairs on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles within a growing leader in the transportation industry.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles
- Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes using company-supplied OEM software, following proper warranty procedures
- Repair and replace brakes, steering components, and suspension systems
- Perform alignments
- Replace clutches and transmissions
Requirements
- Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic
- Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors
- A valid CDL, or the ability to acquire a CDL with the assistance of our trainer
- Possession of hand tools
- Experience working on Refrigeration Units (ThermoKing primarily) is desired
- Ability to work Monday - Friday from 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
