About the Role
Corfu Veterinary Clinic is seeking a receptionist to provide quality medicine with a personal touch. The role involves maintaining the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greeting clients and patients, answering questions, managing calls and emails, scheduling appointments, and processing payments. Receptionists offer emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes. The role requires the ability to withstand unpleasant odors and noises, and may involve exposure to animal waste and potentially contagious diseases. Opportunities for virtual and hands-on training and continuing development are available.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
- Greet and welcome clients and patients
- Answer questions and triage client concerns
- Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
- Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
- Check in and check out clients
- Process payments
- Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to clients
- Be comfortable with various medical outcomes
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years veterinary experience or medical experience required
- Bubbly, positive, and welcoming personality to create a great experience for clients and patients
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and stay calm in stressful situations
- Highly organized
- Possess computer skills
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skill set
- Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises
- May be exposed to animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
- Hiring eligibility may be contingent to a candidate authorizing and completing a satisfactory background check
