Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Austin, TX. This role involves patient interaction and specimen collection.
Responsibilities
- Perform specimen collection on patients.
- Ensure accurate labeling and handling of specimens.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety and compliance protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program.
- Certification from a recognized phlebotomy program (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist.
- Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and diverse patient populations.
