About the Role

Hudson Valley Community College is seeking experienced, dynamic, and creative faculty members to join the Natural & Applied Sciences department. This role involves teaching physical sciences courses, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting student success within a collaborative academic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement instructional duties for both classroom and laboratory settings
  • Develop and revise courses and curricula
  • Evaluate student performance
  • Participate in departmental, division-wide, and college-wide committees
  • Perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract under the direction of the Department Chairperson
  • Teach assigned courses at the main campus and/or the Malta campus

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Two years of successful college-level classroom and laboratory teaching experience in the content area
  • Experience with the integration of technology in the classroom or lab
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States unrestricted
  • Appointment is contingent upon completion of a background check
