About the Role
Hudson Valley Community College is seeking experienced, dynamic, and creative faculty members to join the Natural & Applied Sciences department. This role involves teaching physical sciences courses, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting student success within a collaborative academic environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement instructional duties for both classroom and laboratory settings
- Develop and revise courses and curricula
- Evaluate student performance
- Participate in departmental, division-wide, and college-wide committees
- Perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract under the direction of the Department Chairperson
- Teach assigned courses at the main campus and/or the Malta campus
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
- Two years of successful college-level classroom and laboratory teaching experience in the content area
- Experience with the integration of technology in the classroom or lab
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States unrestricted
- Appointment is contingent upon completion of a background check
