About the Role
St. Barnabas Elementary School is seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Administrative Assistant / Front Office Administrator to join our school community. This individual plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring the smooth operation of the school office, providing clerical, organizational, and administrative support to advance the school's mission.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors professionally and courteously.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and correspondence.
- Maintain student attendance records and assist with daily reporting.
- Maintain student and staff files confidentially, accurately, and in an organized manner.
- Support the Principal and faculty with scheduling, photocopying, mailings, data entry, and filing.
- Assist with school communications, meetings, and special events.
- Maintain front office organization and oversee office supplies, placing orders as needed.
- Handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
- Assist with school information systems, including FACTS and other administrative platforms.
- Uphold the values and mission of St. Barnabas Elementary School and the Catholic school community.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Prior experience in an office, administrative, or Catholic school setting preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize school information systems, including FACTS SIS, FACTS Tuition.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
- Friendly, welcoming demeanor and commitment to the mission of Catholic education.

- Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (35 hours per week)
