About the Role

The College Program Support Associate provides instructional, academic, and programmatic support for The College Experience (CEP) and CareerNext Programs. This role involves teaching life skills courses and providing academic and executive functioning support to students, as well as assisting with recruitment and outreach activities. Flexibility is essential for potential coverage needs at partner college campuses or virtual services.

Responsibilities

  • Teach functional life skills courses for students in The College Experience at Russell Sage College.
  • Foster an engaging, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with the Academic Coordinator regarding curriculum, student progress, and instructional needs.
  • Provide academic tutoring and executive functioning support to CareerNext students.
  • Serve as substitute coverage for CareerNext Academic Counselors at partner college campuses or through virtual support.
  • Assist students with organization, time management, study strategies, assignment completion, and self-advocacy.
  • Maintain appropriate communication with CareerNext staff, students, and parents.
  • Assist with College Experience and CareerNext recruitment activities.
  • Deliver presentations and discussions introducing program offerings.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective students, families, and partners.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and be flexible to support emergent needs.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within assigned tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
