About the Role
JIAS Toronto is seeking a dedicated educator for its Ready for School program to prepare participants for a successful transition into the Ontario school system. This is a fixed-term contract position.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to develop and adapt the curriculum to align with program objectives.
- Participate and assist in the orientation, training, and onboarding of educators.
- Lead and facilitate all regular curriculum activities during the program period.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and track hours worked for payroll purposes.
- Participate in field trips as required.
- Participate in program orientation and training as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- OCT required.
- Previous experience working with children or educational programs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt and modify curriculum as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with participants, parents, and team members.
- Proficient in using Microsoft excel or similar software for tracking hours.
