About the Role
We are seeking talented litigators to join our Toronto office and become part of one of Canada’s premier construction and infrastructure practices. Associates work directly with experienced partners and clients on a broad range of matters, gaining meaningful responsibility, significant client exposure, and opportunities to develop as advocates and trusted advisors.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with experienced partners and clients on a broad range of matters.
- Handle construction liens and trust claims.
- Manage delay, schedule, and performance disputes.
- Address procurement and tendering issues.
- Manage professional liability and negligence claims.
- Participate in adjudications, arbitrations, mediations, and court proceedings.
- Work on large infrastructure, commercial, institutional, and residential projects.
- Take ownership of careers.
- Contribute meaningfully to client service.
- Participate in the continued growth of the firm.
Requirements
- Called to the Ontario Bar.
- Approximately 3–7 years of litigation experience.
- Possess strong analytical, advocacy, and drafting skills.
- Enjoy solving complex legal and business problems.
- Motivated to build lasting client relationships.
- Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Interested in developing a long-term career within a growing national firm.
- Construction law experience is an asset but not essential for candidates with strong litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in the sector.
