About the Role

As an Investment Operations Associate on the SWIM team, you will support the operational infrastructure of Savvy’s centralized investment platform. You will manage investment operations workflows across various systems and custodians, ensuring accurate and scalable investment processes. This role involves daily use and improvement of AI-powered internal tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily reviews of account restrictions, trading permissions, custodian data feeds, and other issues that may prevent accurate and timely trade execution.
  • Own trade-error processing, including investigation, documentation, custodian coordination, corrective action, and resolution tracking.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for enabling options trading and margin within custodian accounts used for SWIM strategies, coordinating approvals, required documentation, and follow-up through completion.
  • Coordinate custodian setup and operational onboarding for separately managed accounts (SMAs) and specialized strategies, including Nuveen, long/short direct indexing, and other third-party solutions.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end operational implementation of alternative investments, including subscriptions, redemptions, custodian setup, funding requirements, capital calls, and issue resolution.
  • Conduct scheduled audits of billing, trade execution, SWIM enrollment, model mapping, and account configuration; document findings and coordinate remediation.
  • Build and maintain a centralized system of record for account approvals, custodian setup, operational exceptions, supporting documentation, controls, ownership, and resolution status.
  • Operate and maintain internal automation tools that support daily operational workflows, and build or enhance automations as processes scale.
  • Partner with Compliance and Operations leadership to develop procedures, controls, and escalation paths that support adherence to applicable FINRA and SEC requirements and firm trading policies.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in investment operations, brokerage operations, wealth management, or a related environment.
  • Experience supporting traders, portfolio managers, or a centralized investment platform.
  • Strong understanding of trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, and operational controls.
  • Experience with Charles Schwab, Fidelity, or similar custodians, including account setup and approval workflows.
  • Proven ability to manage recurring, detail-oriented workflows accurately and independently.
  • Enthusiasm for using AI and automation to improve operational workflows.
  • Experience supporting an RIA, asset manager, or centralized trading team.
  • Working knowledge of Orion Eclipse or a comparable order management system.
  • Track record of improving operational processes and controls.
  • Familiarity with SMA onboarding, alternative-investment platforms such as iCapital or CAIS, and options or margin account setup.

About the Company

  • Wealth management is a $545 billion industry that still runs on manual work.
  • Savvy is reinventing what it looks like to be a financial advisor.
  • Savvy is a registered investment advisor (RIA), and we partner with experienced financial advisors who want to grow without running the back office themselves.
  • Advisors bring their book and join Savvy, running under their own brand (or ours), and Savvy earns a percentage of the assets they manage.
  • In return, they get a true business-in-a-box: a proprietary tech platform and client portal, an in-house marketing team that helps them grow, a world-class investment management team, and a dedicated client services team that runs day-to-day operations and support.
  • AI runs through everything we do.
  • Savvy Intelligence (released April 2026) is the only AI built for wealth managers that can see a client's complete financial picture.
  • Internally, everyone at Savvy uses Claude and is encouraged to experiment with it, backed by a dedicated AI enablement team and a RevOps org building agents in-house.
  • We're a Series B company hitting our stride, with roughly 150 employees and over 500% year-over-year growth, backed by $105M from Thrive Capital, Index Ventures, Canvas Ventures, and Mark Casady (former CEO of LPL Financial).
  • We're a Certified Great Place to Work and have been honored for our culture and our growth: Newsweek's America's Greatest Startup Workplaces (2026), Fortune Best Workplaces in New York™ (2026), Small & Medium Companies, Great Place to Work Certified™.
