About the Role
Manage the day-to-day execution of all activities within assigned Partner Accounts across Major League Soccer and other SUM properties, ensuring effective activation programs and delivering the highest level of client service.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary stakeholder for day-to-day contact and account management with clients.
- Lead weekly client calls, including agenda creation and recap notes.
- Facilitate workstreams with internal departments.
- Provide strategic counsel and identify solutions to partner issues.
- Oversee asset delivery, tracking, and recapping.
- Facilitate special requests.
- Provide strategic oversight of contractual assets like ticket pools and player appearances.
- Support renewal efforts by sharing insights from partner conversations and relationships.
- Generate ideas for new sponsorship opportunities.
- Effectively present information to sponsors and internal stakeholders.
- Manage partner program budgets.
- Lead the creative approval process for all partner assets.
- Maintain partner information in the CRM database.
- Support the implementation of partner-specific media strategies.
- Champion team development by communicating job expectations and managing the Performance Management process.
- Plan, monitor, and review direct report performance.
- Coach and counsel employees.
- Develop and implement department procedures and productivity standards.
- Reinforce Company policies and best practices.
- Develop personal growth opportunities for employees.
- Lead special projects and serve as a department stakeholder on cross-departmental initiatives.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5+ years of experience in partnership marketing and sponsorship activation required.
- Proven experience servicing multimillion dollar partnerships.

- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience managing a direct report preferred.
- Knowledge of the sport of soccer.
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
