About the Role
This temporary part-time role involves supervising swimmers, enforcing pool rules, and responding to emergencies to ensure a safe aquatic environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise swimmers and maintain a vigilant watch over the pool area
- Enforce pool rules and safety regulations
- Respond quickly and effectively to all emergencies, including rescues and administering first aid/CPR as needed
- Conduct routine pool checks
- Assist with setting up and maintaining pool equipment--vacuuming, cleaning up the pool deck
Requirements
- Must hold current Lifeguard Certification (Red Cross or equivalent)
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stay focused and alert for extended periods
- Finalists for hire will undergo a background check that includes education, employment, and criminal convictions
