About the Role

Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks vital to patient care. As a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a key role in the ambulatory care team by supporting providers, connecting with patients, and ensuring a seamless, compassionate experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care

Requirements

• GED or HS Equivalency Diploma
• LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state of practice
• LPN: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing
• MA: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 45 days
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently
• Ability to lift and support 35 pounds
• Ability to push/pull with 30 lbs of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with assistance
• Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with fine hand manipulation skills
• Ability to maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines
• Ability to perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation
• Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient or unit conditions

Salary/Compensations

• $21.85 - $32.80 (MA)
