About the Role

The EMEA SSC Royalty & Copyright team ensures accurate and timely payments to WMG's talent by managing the end-to-end statement and payment process for artists, producers, mixers, and third parties. This role focuses on managing quarterly and bi-annual European society registration cycles, ensuring compliance with regional requirements and maintaining data integrity through file reformatting, data cleanup, and verification of label copy for accurate registrations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage quarterly and bi-annual European society registration filings, ensuring compliance with regional legal and deadline requirements.
  • Perform manual data cleanup and file reformatting to meet society acceptance criteria and prevent registration errors.
  • Verify and check label copy and affiliate reporting for accuracy before final submissions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external Copyright teams to identify, analyze, and document specific regional collection society requirements.
  • Contribute to creating a standardized repository of copyright processes and regional compliance rules.
  • Identify and report recurring data gaps and friction points to inform future system and process enhancements.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to apply them calmly under pressure.
  • Effective time management skills to meet strict society deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage high release volumes.
  • Ability to navigate complex, territory-specific compliance rules.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation (e.g., Excel/Sheets).
  • Willingness to adapt to new automated system workflows.
  • Proactive in seeking process improvements and identifying efficiencies.
  • A background in copyright administration, mechanical licensing, or international royalties is preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry copyright data formats is preferred.
