About the Role

This is a field-based role focused on providing clinical supervision and support to infusion nurses, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating with operational teams to optimize patient care delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical supervision to infusion nurses.
  • Conduct field visits to observe nursing practice, ensure competency, and provide training.
  • Review and approve patient assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation.
  • Participate in re-certifications and re-assessments.
  • Serve as clinical backup on infusion cases.
  • Partner with scheduling and operations teams to coordinate nurse assignments.
  • Maintain communication with pharmacy, intake, and case management teams.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case conferences.
  • Ensure infusion nursing practices comply with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and address clinical deficiencies.
  • Support audit preparation, incident reporting, and corrective action planning.
  • Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge of infusion therapies.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model for the infusion nursing team.
  • Assist in onboarding and field training of new infusion nurses.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback to team members.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with active New York State license in good standing.
  • Minimum 2 years of infusion nursing experience (home infusion or acute care setting preferred), with both adult and pediatric patients.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in venous access device management (PICC, Port, Midline, Peripheral IV).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required.
  • Must be willing and able to travel within a 65-mile radius or up to 90 minutes from assigned cases.
  • Daily travel to patient homes, facilities, or team meetings is required.
  • Must be available for rotation coverage, including evenings or weekends if operationally required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of infusion equipment or supplies (up to 25 lbs).
  • Comfortable working in a variety of home environments.
