About the Role

The MRI Technologist is responsible for maintaining imaging protocols, performing daily quality control on scanners per regulatory standards, and ensuring high-quality patient care through accurate documentation and clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain protocols as directed by the MRI Coordinator or Leads.
  • Perform daily check-ups and quality control on MRI scanners per ACR and state regulatory requirements.
  • Perform IV insertion for contrast administration following OSHA guidelines.
  • Identify patients and review exam paperwork.
  • Obtain appropriate medical history from patients.
  • Confirm image transmission to PACS and verify tech notes and required documents.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a recognized, approved AMA Council of Education program in radiological technology.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing intravenous injections.
