About the Role
Summerhill Market is seeking dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals to join their Cut Fruit Production team at their Commissary Kitchen. This role is ideal for those who enjoy hands-on kitchen work and thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Cut, prepare, and package fresh fruit according to Summerhill Market standards
- Assist with kitchen prep including washing, peeling, slicing, and portioning products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations and production areas
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
- Support the production kitchen team with general kitchen helper duties as needed
- Help ensure products are fresh, properly labeled, and presentation-ready for retail locations
- Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and timelines
Requirements
- Previous kitchen, food prep, produce, or production experience is an asset
- Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled cooler environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
