About the Role

Responsible for transforming data by indexing and scanning documents, ensuring accurate input into the IRON DATA system, and performing quality control on each document.

Responsibilities

  • File and monitor workers’ comp, property, and casualty claims to ensure timely processing and coordinate appropriate claims documentation, incident reports and track losses and corrective actions.
  • Maintain records, retrieve information, and produce correspondence, reports, and forms.
  • Input appropriate information from the documents into the IRON DATA system as appropriate for the type of batch being indexed.
  • Verify the accuracy and quality of each specific index file and document image by performing 100% quality check and making corrections as needed.
  • Reconcile error conditions with the Scan/Index and Production Control Supervisor when necessary.
  • Provide customer service to answer questions in their area of responsibility or direct to supervisor.
  • Maintain contract required production and quality control standards.
  • Complete training to perform all positions within the mail room and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented relationship with management, peers, and customers.
  • Ensure all work reflects a neat, professional image.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of document scanning or data management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Creative and flexible problem solving.
  • Desire to work with employment and training services consumers, employees, and the public.
  • Team orientation.
  • Appropriate grooming and dressing.
  • Ability to sit, bend, and stoop.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform each essential performance requirements satisfactorily.
  • Must maintain acceptable attendance to avoid negative team impact.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequently required to walk; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
  • Ability to cope with and tolerate moderate levels of stress.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate a telephone and keyboard.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Post offer background check is required to ensure applicant meets all eligibility requirements for the assigned customer/location.
