About the Role
The Team Worker is responsible for providing assistance with routine and non-routine skilled duties in sanitation, requiring high adaptability and the ability to quickly acquire and apply new skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces in common and production areas.
- Assist sanitation personnel during floor cleaning and washdowns.
- Collect and dispose of garbage, recyclables, and waste materials in designated bins and areas.
- Refill and maintain supplies in dispensers (e.g., paper towels, soap, sanitizer, toilet paper).
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, lunchrooms, and locker areas as assigned.
- Ensure janitorial equipment and cleaning tools are properly maintained and stored.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow all company safety, GMP, and sanitation policies.
- Support special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as needed.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude while working with the sanitation and maintenance teams.
Requirements
- Repetitive tasks & standing for extended periods
- Handling medium/heavy loads (up to 23kg/50 lbs)
- Demonstrated ability to acquire and apply new skills as per training provided
- Ability to work well and cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors as a Quality Focused, Service Oriented Team Player.
- Demonstrated track record of following all proper maintenance, sanitation and Health & Safety protocols at all times.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and general housekeeping
- Ability to properly and safely store, mix and use all cleaning chemicals according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), HACCP, WHMIS & Safety procedures
- Maintain shift log of production and other data.
- Set up and adjust equipment under direction.
- Check products for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards
- All jobs require sufficient physical strength and dexterity to perform the required task(s) and typically also require at a minimum: intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more with assistance may also be required.
- Employees must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy and/or legal requirements.
- Work outside and/or in adverse temperatures which could include extreme heat, cold, and humidity
- Be exposed to vibrations, chemicals used in operations, fumes and food allergens (may include soy, dairy and other allergens)
- Be required to work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet.

- Hourly starting rate of $18.99 and upon successful completion of the probation period, the hourly rate will increase.
