About the Role
Schwab Investment Platforms, Solutions, and Strategy (SIPSS) aims to set strategic direction and drive investment across Schwab’s offerings. Within SIPSS, Investment Offers & Solutions (IOS) manages third-party product marketplaces and proprietary Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs). The Managed Accounts Solutions (MAS) team within IOS focuses on the end-to-end management of SMAs, including strategic vision, product offerings, client tools, and partnerships. This role will assist in developing and supporting strategic initiatives for retail and third-party Managed Accounts, focusing on enhancing platforms and meeting client needs. The Senior Manager will contribute to evolving retail and institutional SMA offerings, including offer development, positioning, enhancements, and pricing. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Retail Managed Accounts.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and supporting strategic initiatives for Retail and third-party Managed Accounts offers.
- Address changing industry trends, evolving business and economic models, and pursuing market growth opportunities.
- Enhance and expand the ability to meet client needs for Managed Accounts.
- Evolve platforms to be more modern and competitive.
- Support offer development, positioning, enhancements, and pricing for retail and institutional separately managed account offerings.
- Help lead strategic initiatives from initiation to execution.
- Create presentations and effectively present to and persuade stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5+ years of strategy, consulting, or product development/offer management work experience, preferably within a financial services firm or a top-tier consulting firm.
- High degree of comfort dealing with ambiguity.
- Comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to formulate a compelling vision and strategy and translate it to actionable roadmaps and results.
- Excellent problem-solving and data analysis skills, including the ability to gather data and synthesize insights to understand client needs and business impacts to inform product design.
- Demonstrated proficiency in storyboarding and translating data & insights into a compelling business case and recommendation.
- Excellent project management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and work efficiently (independently and with teams) to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability developing materials and effectively presenting to diverse types of audiences including executives.
- Successfully execute on multiple initiatives at the same time, autonomously, quickly, despite challenges, and with great attention to detail.
- Ability to weigh multiple perspectives, gain consensus, and influence key stakeholders.
- General understanding/familiarity with separately managed account offerings.
- Expert user of PowerPoint and Excel.
