About the Role
Lead the development of cutting-edge, world-class new products by creating innovative engineering solutions for customers.
Responsibilities
- Bring new products and designs to life from initial customer requirements, conceptual design, detailed engineering, testing, and qualification through to delivery.
- Collaborate across multiple locations, teams, and functions to ensure engineering requirements are captured.
- Develop Subsea XT technologies that meet customer needs by engineering new and proven solutions.
- Generate new designs, detailed drawings, stack-up drawings, bills of materials, and calculations.
- Lead qualification and system integration testing to meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Manage project plans, budgets, risks, resources, and stakeholder/change management to ensure scope completion within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Lead global teams and work with all business functions, applying Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
- Provide technical guidance and peer reviews for engineering deliverables.
- Coach and mentor other engineers and designers within a globally diverse team.
- Explore new opportunities and ideas, create patents, and conduct Freedom to Operate analysis.
- Stay informed about market trends.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Design Engineering for Subsea Production Systems.
- In-depth understanding of how engineering transforms into a real-life product.
- Experience with 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD software.
- Deep understanding of GD&T and Design for Manufacture principles.
- Direct ownership and accountability with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and conflict management.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Deep knowledge of CAD tools CREO (PRO-E) and TeamCenter / PLM Engineering packages.
- A willingness and desire to continue personal development.
- A sense of dissatisfaction with the status quo.
- A positive, proactive growth mindset.
- Learn to be okay with failure.
