About the Role

Embark on a transformative journey as a Cloud Data Senior Developer - Data Control and Delivery AVP. In this role, you will be part of a highly collaborative, dynamic team that delivers projects in rapid, iterative cycles.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain systems that collect, store, process, and analyze data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• Ensure all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.
• Build and maintain data architectures and pipelines for durable, complete, and consistent data transfer and processing.
• Design and implement data warehouses and data lakes managing appropriate data volumes, velocity, and security measures.
• Develop processing and analysis algorithms for data complexity and volumes.
• Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
• Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate closely with other functions/business divisions.
• Lead a team performing complex tasks, using professional knowledge and skills to deliver business-impacting work.
• Set objectives, coach employees, appraise performance, and determine reward outcomes.
• Lead collaborative assignments and guide team members.
• Identify the need for other specializations to complete assignments.
• Identify new directions for assignments and/or projects.
• Consult on complex issues and provide advice to People Leaders.
• Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures.
• Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls.
• Perform work related to other areas, understanding coordination and contribution to organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with business-aligned support areas to stay updated on business activity and strategy.
• Engage in complex data analysis from multiple sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• Communicate complex information, including sensitive or difficult-to-convey content.
• Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
• Drive technical product selection processes and execute technical spikes/PoCs.

Requirements

• Architecting and developing enterprise-grade data products to support the principle of data mesh.
• Designing transitional architectures that integrate existing systems while navigating multi-layered architectural trade-offs.
• Establishing data governance frameworks and overseeing data flow mechanisms to ensure security, compliance, and lifecycle integrity.
• Developing target state architectures and transformation roadmaps.
• Modern application design including containers, micro-services, event-driven architecture, and cloud.
• Experience in the financial industry.
• Ample knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps/DevSecOps practices using GitLab.
• Skilled in influencing partners and stakeholders through clear, impactful communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• AWS and Databricks and certification as a Cloud Solution Architect.
• Risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
