About the Role
The Program Director provides strategic leadership, management, and oversight for a portfolio of programs within the Creative Arts Team (CAT). This role involves curriculum development, professional development training for teaching artists, and supervision of project teams to ensure high-quality program implementation in educational and community settings.
Responsibilities
- Develop annual program structure and oversee project implementation
- Supervise 6-12 Actor Teachers, Associate Program Directors, and Program Managers
- Maintain relationships with school partners and funders
- Hire, train, and onboard program staff
- Interview, select, and orient MSW candidates
- Provide ongoing supervision for MSW candidates and Safe Passages providers
- Collaborate with the Executive Director on program vision and annual budget management
- Design and implement program evaluations
- Ensure grant compliance and manage reporting documentation
- Facilitate staff orientation on CUNY/CAT protocols
- Develop written materials for funders and partners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and three years of relevant work experience, or Master’s Degree and two years of relevant work experience
- Ability to interface and engage diverse partners and stakeholders
- Strong organizational and project management skills
