About the Role
We are seeking a Contract Specialist to manage contracts and agreements within TrojanUV’s Commercial business. This role involves reviewing, drafting, and assisting in the negotiation of various commercial agreements, including sales and distribution agreements, and change orders. The specialist will collaborate closely with the Global Contract Manager, WQ Contracts Managers, business unit leaders, and shared services partners, acting as the primary contact between Regional Sales Managers, Contract Managers, the Finance Team, and sometimes the End User during the bidding and PO negotiation process to ensure Trojan is in the best competitive position.
Responsibilities
- Review potential commercial contractual pitfalls and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Provide interpretation of contract language to Regional Sales Managers to enable accurate assessment of technical obligations.
- Provide professional contractual guidance to team members to ensure the project is executed according to contract requirements.
- Ensure new order acceptance criteria have been satisfied, obtain necessary approvals, align stakeholders, and communicate project execution goals and plans.
- Assist in managing, renewing, and obtaining new Performance/Payments/Maintenance bonds, Bank Guarantees, or Letters of Credit as required by contract.
- Assist Sales and project teams with obtaining necessary insurance certificates and amendments, bonds, letters of credit, and bank guarantees.
- Manage insurance reviews.
Requirements
- 5+ years of contract sales experience, preferably within a capital organization.
- Fluent in English; French is a plus.
- Strong influencing, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and drive continuous improvement in a complex environment.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and committed to continuous professional development.
- Willing to travel up to 10%.
