About the Role

EXL Risk Control is seeking self-directed independent contractors with excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and a commitment to meeting client quality and timeliness standards. You will work from home or office, servicing onsite survey/inspection assignments in the Jackson Heights, NY area and surrounding locations.

Responsibilities

• Schedule on-site surveys and provide risk control reports to insurance industry clients.
• Compile information necessary to underwrite a commercial insurance policy.
• Provide recommendations to control and/or correct potential loss producing conditions.
• Manage accepted assignments, secure customer appointments within a local territory, and complete work assignments on time.
• Evaluate businesses to identify hazards and improve safety, mitigating risks for insurance company clients.
• Survey commercial operations including retail, restaurants, hotels, apartments, construction jobsites, churches, and schools.
• Assess businesses for Property and General Liability coverage, and service other commercial insurance lines including Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine and Builders Risk.

Requirements

• Possess excellent communication skills.

• Must have high-speed internet access.
• Must provide a reliable vehicle.
• Must provide a measuring device such as a laser, 100 ft. tape, or measuring wheel.
• Must provide Auto and General Liability Insurance.
