About the Role

Moonfare delivers sought-after funds and investments in private markets, subjecting every opportunity to a rigorous vetting process to create institutional-quality portfolios for discerning investors.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines from ingestion through to storage
• Take end-to-end ownership of pipeline components
• Model data using data lake and warehouse concepts, and contribute to performance improvements (partitioning, file formats, tuning)
• Apply data governance and security practices in your work (least-privilege IAM, encryption, PII handling)
• Support the team with data quality, coding consistency and data availability
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into working data solutions
• Identify, formulate, and propose improvements to your own and your team’s practices

Requirements

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines in production
• Strong Python and advanced SQL
• Basic Scala experience, or a willingness to pick it up
• Familiarity with DBT (models, tests, documentation)
• Solid working knowledge of AWS or another major cloud provider
• Experience with relational databases and data warehouses
• Confident in Git, CI/CD, and modern deployment practices
• Practical experience with Docker
• Solution-oriented, strong attention to detail, and open to feedback and mentorship
