About the Role
The Manager, Premium Food & Beverage Operations is responsible for the operational management of Premium Food & Beverage outlets and events, ensuring an exceptional guest experience by driving team performance. This role involves collaborating across functions to achieve business results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Sets direction for supervisory team and front-line staff to ensure consistency of guest experience within suites and F&B outlets.
- Oversees event-related operations of designated areas, including supervision of non-F&B event-related staff.
- Tracks sales trends and recommends adjustments to maximize departmental profitability and keep F&B offerings current.
- Proactively identifies and implements solutions to departmental challenges and responds to service breakdowns immediately.
- Coordinates daily labor activities, ensures proper staffing levels, assigns employees, and manages breaks.
- Maintains physical inventory of food, beverage, and disposable products, implementing systems to mitigate waste and monitor costs.
- Inputs inventory counts and reviews with Finance on a monthly basis.
- Collaborates with other departments to execute initiatives and ensure compliance with city and state regulations.
- Focuses on beverage-focused initiatives, including cocktail and wine development across all Premium outlets.
- Completes and submits payroll accurately according to Company guidelines and deadlines.
- Serves as a liaison between the Premium Services division and ground operations.
- Partners on the full-cycle recruitment, hiring, and development of supervisors and front-line staff.
- Conducts interviews, selects candidates, onboards new hires, provides continuous feedback, and identifies training opportunities.
- Conducts periodic meetings with supervisors and team leads covering Department of Health guidelines, cleanliness, service and product changes, and Company communications.
- Maintains a high level of integrity and role models a positive attitude and adherence to Company objectives.
- Ensures all team members are engaged, upbeat, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
- Supervises Premium F&B Operations Supervisors.
- Provides exceptional experiences for guests, partners, and team members, adhering to appearance and presentation guidelines.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of Food & Beverage management experience, including oversight of fine dining and catering/suites within an entertainment venue or hotel.
- Proficiency in Point of Sale (POS), purchasing, and inventory systems.
- Experience managing budgets and resource allocations.
- Successful track record measuring customer satisfaction and loyalty and recommending/tracking improvements.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and build collaborative relationships.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with all levels in the organization.
- Adept at maintaining a positive, open, approachable, and professional relationship with a diverse group.
- Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, and developing staff.
- Ability to monitor performance and hold teams accountable for outcomes.
- Proactive self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Comfortable employing sound business judgment to manage conflict and resolve guest concerns.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Food Protection Certificate required.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs., stand for long periods, and walk long distances.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and split days off.
- Willing to travel to other venues as needed.
