About the Role

As a leader in our Parts department, you will directly manage and develop a team of hourly associates, ensuring timely and cost-efficient provision of automotive parts. This role involves close collaboration with associates, the Parts Manager, and production leaders to manage parts sourcing, ordering, and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Leverage expertise to understand processes and propose improvements.
• Manage parts processes to ensure correct, timely, and cost-efficient ordering.
• Manage and lead the associate team to achieve desired metrics and results.
• Lead and develop parts associates in finding parts, analyzing costs, and managing orders and inventory.
• Train and develop hourly associates on reporting, systems, and Parts processes.
• Work safely to decrease injury possibility and ensure Parts area meets safety standards.
• Meet or exceed key metrics and goals daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Conduct business within Carvana policies and procedures.
• Act ethically, with integrity, and in the best interest of the customer and business.
• Portray a positive image of Carvana and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive parts or inventory management in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience working with a wide variety of automotive parts.
• A valid Driver’s License.
• A clean driving record with no more than two moving violations or DUI’s in the last three years.
• A positive, can-do attitude with a desire to work in a team setting.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• A quality-first mentality that takes pride in upholding Carvana’s vehicle quality standards.
• Strong, consistent attention to detail.
• Moderate understanding of vehicle mechanical repair.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels.
• Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet.
• Requires standing for an extended period of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.
• Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Requires use of safety equipment.
• Requires frequent driving and some typing.
• Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
• Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
