About the Role

As the IT Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and supporting network, communication, computer systems, and physical security infrastructure. You will also install, configure, and maintain various IT systems and devices to facilitate seamless communication within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot video surveillance camera systems (IP and analog).
  • Install, terminate, test, label, and maintain network and security cabling.
  • Perform floor & wall-mounting of enclosures, panels, TVs, cabinets and other IT peripherals.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with intrusion alarm and door access control systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and/or replace faulty IT-related hardware, including switches, access points, speakers, TVs, cameras, door access controllers, badge readers, biometric scanners, and physical locks.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues related to switches, routers, PoE and other network devices.
  • Apply technical expertise to evaluate problems and implement solving practices.
  • Perform system testing and ensure proper operation after installations or repairs.
  • Maintain parts inventory and documentation for installations, configurations, and service activities.
  • Complete other IT related tasks as assigned.
  • Follow company safety standards, security policies, and best practices.
  • Willing to work on weekends and overtime if required.
  • Willing to learn new technology and implement or recommend its implementation.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working on heights from ladders or aerial platforms.
  • Previous experience in network and security cabling, installation, testing, troubleshooting and maintaining.
  • Hands-on experience with facilities security, access control, and surveillance systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work safely, with or without supervision.
  • Technically savvy; able to navigate and configure software and hardware systems.
  • Ability to read, review and comprehend blueprints and layouts.
  • Valid driver's license.
