About the Role

The Senior Specialist, Pension & Benefits is responsible for the end-to-end delivery and continuous improvement of benefits, retirement and recognition programs. This role focuses on program management, process optimization, risk management, and data-driven insights to enhance employee experience and program sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end employee experience for group benefits, international and retirement plans, including program enrollment, life cycle changes, leave of absence, and payroll contribution processing.
  • Engage with internal and external contacts to resolve complex program matters and identify risks.
  • Ensure program documentation, resources, and employee-facing tools are accurate and accessible.
  • Develop and maintain reporting for leadership with clear, actionable insights.
  • Integrate audit controls for risk mitigation and accurate program management.
  • Continuously evaluate and redesign workflows to drive efficiency and improve employee experience.
  • Identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and enhanced digital experiences.
  • Champion new ways of working and embed modern best practices in Benefits and Pension transformation initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience administering/managing an HR program.
  • Prior program management experience is considered an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business / human resources or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Human Resources Designation (CPHR, CHRP) is considered an asset.
  • Strong communicator capable of simplifying complex information and collaborating effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience improving processes, implementing new tools, or simplifying workflows.
  • Basic SAP and/or SuccessFactors experience is an asset.
  • Experience with automation tools, or AI-driven enhancements is an asset.
  • Comfort working with data to drive insights and decisions.
  • Bilingualism (English & French) is considered an asset.
