About the Role
Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown is seeking a results-driven and relationship-focused Senior Sales Manager to drive revenue growth by developing new business opportunities, managing strategic client relationships, and maximizing group, corporate, and event sales. This role is ideal for a proactive hospitality sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating exceptional experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve assigned revenue, room night, and profitability goals.
- Prospect, solicit, negotiate, and close new business opportunities within assigned market segments.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through outbound sales efforts, networking, client appointments, and industry engagement.
- Maximize revenue opportunities across guestrooms, meeting space, rooftop events, catering, and hotel offerings.
- Identify target accounts and develop strategies to drive new and repeat business.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and demand generators to identify opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, meeting planners, third-party partners, and community organizations.
- Conduct impactful hotel tours and presentations showcasing the unique offerings of Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown.
- Manage the sales process from initial inquiry through execution while ensuring exceptional client service.
- Drive repeat business through proactive account management and relationship building.
- Respond to leads and RFPs promptly while maintaining outstanding customer service standards.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, presentations, and sales materials.
- Maintain accurate client information, activities, and forecasts within sales systems.
- Participate in sales meetings, revenue strategy discussions, and performance reviews.
- Partner with Revenue Management, Event Planning, Operations, and Marketing teams to maximize opportunities and deliver successful events.
- Serve as a senior sales resource by sharing market insights and supporting team success.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in an upscale, lifestyle, or full-service hotel.
- Proven success achieving sales goals and driving revenue growth.
- Strong knowledge of group sales, corporate accounts, and the Austin hospitality market preferred.
- Experience with Delphi FDC, CVENT, Knowland, and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
