About the Role

This role involves co-ordinating and contributing to the marketing and negotiation of Financial Institutions business within the Lloyd’s and Company Markets on a day-to-day basis. It is ideal for an insurance broker seeking increased responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of placement strategies and execute in line with agreed instructions.
• Provide full reviews of risks and prepare underwriting presentations for larger accounts, working with Senior Broker/Broking Directors.
• Manage relationships between the insured/network and the GBC, including hosting clients in London.
• Delegate tasks to junior brokers as needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, clients, and internal collaborators.
• Stay informed about Financial Institutions market movements and changes in appetite.
• Lead account broking and follow market broking based on territory and London Market insurer positioning.
• Review draft and final Market Reform Contracts (MRCs).
• Oversee file management, including the use of electronic placing platforms, ensuring KPIs are met and data is captured.
• Support RFP processes.
• Provide benchmarking and placement advice to networks/clients.
• Work in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and policies, including managing risks and completing mandatory training.

Requirements

• Experience gained within the insurance industry at either a Broker or Insurer.
• Technical Insurance knowledge across Financial Lines products.
• Sound understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes.
• Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service.
• Experience of managing effective client relationships.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.
• Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team.
