About the Role

This role involves demonstrating mastery and subject matter expertise in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of plant-specific maintenance and technical training programs, including Chemistry, Engineering, Maintenance, and Radiation Protection.

Responsibilities

  • Drive clean energy center and personnel performance improvement through training.
  • Develop, schedule, coordinate, and conduct performance-based maintenance or technical training programs.
  • Prepare trainee examinations and conduct evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments.
  • Conduct trainee counseling sessions and develop individualized training programs.
  • Participate in clean energy center support activities such as outage, root cause, and line assessment support.
  • Maintain training programs using industry reports, regulatory bulletins, design changes, and procedure revisions.
  • Support business initiatives, project management, refuel outages, emergency preparedness, and special projects.
  • Supervise the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports.
  • Participate in NRC, INPO, and management audits and prepare responses to findings.
  • Maintain knowledge of plant operations and instructional techniques.
  • Perform emergency response, departmental coverage, and call-out duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED with 5 years of nuclear technical background or 7 years of related instruction experience.
  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline, education, or training with 3 years of nuclear technical background or 5 years of related instruction experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, education, or training with 3 years of related instruction experience.
  • 2 years of training or education experience.
  • Meet or exceed ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.4.3) standards.
  • Maintain minimum access requirements and pass favorable medical examinations or testing.

Experience Level

  • Foreman/lead or supervisory experience preferred
  • 5+ years experience as a Senior Radiation Protection technician or E-6 Navy Engineering Laboratory Technician preferred

Salary/Compensations

  • $121,500 to $135,000
