About the Role

The Night Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring exceptional overnight guest service while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the hotel's daily financial and operational records. This position serves as the primary point of contact for guests during overnight hours, managing check-ins, check-outs, guest requests, and resolving concerns in a professional and timely manner. In addition to delivering outstanding hospitality, the Night Auditor is responsible for completing the nightly audit process, balancing daily transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring all systems are accurately reconciled to support a smooth transition into the next business day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to guests.
  • Keep the front desk and accounting operations running smoothly during the overnight shift.
  • Check in guests.
  • Answer phones and take reservations.
  • Respond to guest complaints, requests and emergencies.
  • Process invoices.
  • Reconcile accounts.
  • Balance the cash drawer and log receipts.
  • Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts.
  • Keep accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Help prepare for forecasts and audits.

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years of hotel front office experience or prior experience as a Night Auditor.
  • An eye for detail and a passion to provide quality of service to our guests.
  • Excellent computer, customer service and communication skills.
